Kira Gluschkoff
For Kira, photography is about capturing one's soul in a certain moment. Thanks to this subtle observation you recognize Kira's picture when you see one. It is simple and balanced, showing the capturer´s insight. For Kira, photography lays at a cross-roads of artistic expression and commercialism, a place where she feels very much at home.
When Kira was 15, she accompanied her mother - an explorer - to Siberia and photographed the native people. The pictures were published and sold. Having natural talent and experience also in front of the camera made it easy for her to step to the other side: during her late teens Kira worked as a model in Paris and Milan.
Kira´s in-built understanding of shape and color are not the only attributes that make her as brilliant as she is. She is cunning and gets the best out of all of her models. She knows how to handle animals too, mainly horses and yes - chicken. Kira says photographing animals is no different from working with people. No wonder we all trust ourselves in her hands.
